“SolaVeil is an external solar-control retrofit system designed to reduce unwanted solar heat gain in commercial buildings without replacing glazing.”
AI driven glass façade technology.
Turning Data into Energy Efficient Buildings
Controlling solar heat before it enters the building envelope is one of the most effective ways to reduce cooling demand.
Potential to:
-
Improve asset value
-
Reduce operating costs
-
UN SDG alignment and corporate ESG commitments.
SolaVeil enables improved building performance through façade retrofit.
Enhancing internal comfort in existing commercial buildings.
-
Control of solar heat gain
-
Use of natural daylight
-
More comfortable internal environments
-
Continued use of existing building assets

The UN Environment Programme reports that prevailing approaches to building construction and operation are a major contributor to global resource use and emissions.
A key area identified within this broader challenge is unwanted solar heat gain through existing glazed façades — particularly in dense urban environments.
Many existing real-estate assets were designed and constructed for a very different operating context.
Today, building owners and cities face new challenges - climate change, rising energy costs, urban heat-island effects, and increasing expectations around internal environmental quality and occupant comfort.
SolaVeil Daylighting & Solar Control Technology
An external daylighting and solar-control retrofit system designed for use on existing glass façades on commercial buildings: Offices, Education, and Healthcare environments.
Designed to manage solar heat gain at the façade while supporting the use of natural daylight and reduced glare.
Addressing solar exposure before heat enters the building.
SolaVeil supports improved internal comfort and reduced reliance on mechanical cooling,
Each application is assessed on a façade - and building-specific basis.
Outcomes vary by building, configuration, climate, and use. Detailed building analysis indicates the outcomes and benefits.

Designed for buildings exposed to high solar heat gain
An external glazing retrofit system for buildings operating in demanding solar conditions - dense urban environments and warmer climates.
Applied to existing glazing, SolaVeil is designed to manage solar heat gain at the façade, supporting reduced heat ingress while maintaining daylight and outward visibility.
Each application is assessed on a building-specific basis, reflecting orientation, glazing configuration, and local conditions.
Delivers
-
Improved environmental performance in existing offices
-
Reduced solar heat gain contributing to lower cooling demand
-
Enhanced use of natural daylight with reduced glare
-
More comfortable internal environments in high-exposure spaces
-
Increased resilience of existing buildings to climate change
The SolaVeilAI Platform
The SolaVeilAI platform supports building-specific façade assessment and design for external solar-control retrofit.
The platform uses a combination of building geometry data, aerial imagery, and location-based climate information to inform an initial understanding of façade exposure and glazing distribution.
This information is processed using digital assessment tools to:
-
Identify glazed areas on building façades
-
Assess relative solar exposure by orientation
-
Inform SolaVeil pattern design and coverage options
Design outputs are transferred to SolaVeil’s digital manufacturing workflow - production files reviewed and quality-checked prior to manufacture.
Installation is delivered through trained delivery partners in locations where SolaVeil is commercially active.

Digitally informed façade retrofit for existing buildings
SolaVeil uses building-level data and digital assessment tools to inform façade-specific solar-control design, supporting more accurate feasibility assessment for each building context.
Addressing unwanted solar heat gain at the glazing level, SolaVeil supports the continued use of existing office buildings, reducing the need for disruptive or capital-intensive façade replacement.
The system is designed for retrofit application with minimal disruption to building operations.
Key characteristics
-
Retrofit application without glass replacement
-
Suitable for occupied buildings
-
Building-specific assessment and design approach
-
Provides improved façade performance under higher solar exposure
